COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan

The Club Racquet and Fitness LLC ("The Club") has developed this COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan (the “Plan”) to conform to New York State Department of Health requirements for maintaining the safety of its employees, Staff, Instructors, and clients during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.


This specific plan was created for The Club’s Phase A, which will begin July 8th, 2020.

The protocol and safety measures have been adapted from the Interim Guidance for Sports and Recreation during the COVID -19 Public Health Emergency. This can be viewed at the attached document or the following link: NY State Guidelines


Roles and Responsibilities

The Director is responsible for the implementation of administrative procedures detailed herein, and providing on-site personnel with all required material and equipment. Routine site inspections will be performed to confirm compliance with the requirements.


Staff & Instructors will be responsible for daily implementation of on-site safety practices, communicating updates to instructors and clients, and maintaining a direct line of communication with the director. (Detailed in Responsibilities section)


Members are required to complete new COVID waiver with honesty, respect others' distance while attending the facility , and follow all safety protocol and outdoor class procedures for Phase A. (Detailed in Responsibilities section and Appendix B)



Communication

Signage will be posted within the building for ALL to adhere to proper hygiene, social distancing, appropriate use of PPE, and cleaning and disinfecting protocols.


The contents of the Plan will be communicated to all employees, staff, instructors and clients, and a copy of the Plan will be available in the facility, and accessible on our website. (www.theclubracquetfitness.com)



Screening

A new waiver and questionnaire will be electronically sent to all members, instructors and staff to complete before July 8th, 2020. This is to be completed one time during Phase A. All Staff and Instructors will take temperature before working a shift.. If a staff member has any symptoms listed on the waiver, they will be asked to not participate, not teach or not work that day. They can return to work when not experiencing those symptoms and can provide a Negative COVID-19 test.



Decontamination Plan

Anyone entering the facility in Phase A presenting COVID-19 symptoms, will be sent home and encouraged to contact their health care provider for medical assessment and COVID-19 testing. If tested positive, They may only return after completing a minimum 14-day quarantine.


If anyone that has visited our facility tests positive for COVID-19, the Director will immediately notify state and local health departments and cooperate with contact tracing efforts, including notification of potential contacts, such as workers or visitors who had close contact with the individual, while maintaining confidentiality required by state and federal law and regulations.


Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 will need to wait 14 days until returning to the facility. Decontamination Procedure will initiate as soon as reported.


Employees, staff and instructors who have been in contact with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases who are without symptoms (asymptomatic) should continue to work. They who are asymptomatic contacts of confirmed or suspected cases should self-monitor twice a day (temperature, symptoms), and undergo temperature monitoring and symptom checks at the beginning of each shift and at least every 12 hours.


• If employees, staff or instructors who are asymptomatic but have contact with a potential COVID-19 case develop symptoms consistent with COVID-19, they should immediately stop work and isolate at home. All with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 should be dealt with as if they have this infection regardless of the availability of test results.

• Employees, staff and Instructors with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 who have maintained isolation for at least 7 days after illness onset and have been at least 72 hours fever-free (without medication) and with other symptoms improving may return to work.


Decontamination Procedure for Facility:

In accordance with current CDC guidelines,

• Close off the facility.

• Open outside doors and windows to increase air circulation in the area.

• Wait 24 hours before clean or disinfecting. If 24 hours is not feasible, wait as long as possible. (Pause on facility operations and in person classes)

• Clean and disinfect all areas used by the person who is sick.

• Once an area has been appropriately disinfected, it can be opened for use.

Employees/Staff/Instructors or participants without close contact with the person who is sick can return to work/use the facility immediately after disinfection.

Areas will be decontaminated by using an appropriate EPA Registered Disinfectant that will be applied by Employees/Staff/Instructors


Sanitizing and Safety Procedures

Indoor:

  • On June 30th, all equipment and facilities will be steam cleaned by mobile Eco Steam.

  • During Phase A, only Racquetball is permitted and must be booked in advance electronically.

  • Only members of Racquetball with keyfob, and staff are permitted to enter.

  • TWO players are permitted to play at a time, per court. (No doubles). Only 2 people are permitted in a court at a time.

  • 6 members are permitted in the building at a time ( 2 per court) for 50 minutes.

  • The gym portion of the facility and water fountain will be off limits.

  • Locker Rooms are limited to 2 people at a time.

  • Staff will be on site every evening after the last booking to disinfect courts, lobby and locker room.

  • Staff will be on site every morning before the first booking to ensure proper lighting, and cleaning equipment is ready.

  • All members must use their own equipment.

  • Masks must be worn to the court and inside the facility.

  • Once inside court, masks must be removed for play.

  • Wipes will be provided outside of each court, members must wipe down doors, and benches used after play.

The Club will temporarily be putting a stop to the following services:

  • Towel Service

  • Smoothie, water, food and retail sales

  • Guest passes, week passes

The Club will temporarily be removing seating in the lobby.

The Club will temporarily only be accepting cards, or online payments. Court bookings will be available to members only.

Safety procedure will be initiated immediately upon reopening for Phase A ( See Appendix B)



Instructors and Staff Responsibilities


Staff Responsibilities

Staff will be scheduled 5-5:45am, 12-12:45am and 9-9:45pm to clean. No members are permitted to be in the building during the above shifts.

  • Ensure all that have booked courts for the day completed the new waiver.

  • Ensure wipes, sanitizers and soaps are stocked

  • Wipe down all touched surfaces

  • Ensure all doors and handles are wiped down.

  • Spray down the entrance vestibule with disinfectant.

  • Ensure all signage is visible.

  • Wear a face mask while in the facility.

  • Report any instances of non compliance of safety procedures of any staff/instructors or members.

  • Self monitor of symptoms and notify the Director of any COVID -19 symptoms.

  • Assist in administer new class procedures with members (appendix B)

Client Responsibilities:

  • Complete new Covid -19 Waiver before entry

  • Follow Procedure (appendix B)

  • Self monitor of symptoms and notify Employee/Staff/Instructor of any COVID -19 symptoms.


Protective Equipment

Face masks will be required by all staff. Face coverings will not be shared, and employees will be trained on adequate usage, cleaning, storage of face coverings.

The Club also recommends, consistent with NYS mandate, that all employees/staff /instructors wear face coverings in public when not at work whenever physical distancing is not possible.


When you need wear cloth face coverings in public settings, where social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community transmission, you should:

• Make sure that they fit snugly and cover their nose and mouth.

• Be changed frequently and laundered when they are soiled or wet.

• Not become complacent with other protective measures.

• Do not touch the cloth covering or face.

• Continue to be vigilant with thorough and frequent hand washing with soap and water, or alcohol-based hand sanitizer of 60%+ alcohol.

• Practice respiratory etiquette and cover your coughs or sneezes.

• Practice social distancing – even when wearing masks.



APPENDIX B: THE CLUB Entrance PHASE A procedure:


Complete New Waiver. All members must complete a new waiver before re entering the facility.


Book Court Ahead of Time: Court must be booked via the website or Wix app. Only 2 players per court per hour, one person to book.


Evaluate yourself before coming to The Club. Reach out to us if you feel as though you need to cancel your reservation for COVID-19 related concerns.


All participants must stay in vehicle until 10 minutes Prior to booking, and must return to vehicle immediately after play. All members must wear mask, until play has started inside the court.


Only bring what you need. Bringing your own equipment is REQUIRED. It is HIGHLY encouraged to leave your phones, jackets, etc in your vehicle.


Entry : Members will be asked to enter ONLY through the front main doors. Upon entry of the front vestibule, please sanitize your hands before entering the facility. Entry will only be permitted at entrance (clearly marked with signage.) Once you have sanitized your hands, walk to an open court following the traffic tape lines. Once at your court, members must only use benches specific to their court. (Specific court reservations will not be honored at this time, first come first serve)


Limit Locker Room Usage: Locker room is limited to 2 members at a time. Wash hands after each use of the locker room and bathroom.


Water Fountain / Gym Equipment / Classroom are strictly prohibited.


Purposeful Hand to Hand Contact is strictly prohibited. IE Hand shakes, High Fives, fist bumps, hugs, pats, etc.


Practice Social Distancing while in Facility. Adhere to 6 feet apart, follow directional traffic flow mapped on floor.


Exit : Members will be asked to exit ONLY through the GYM side door. Members must stay within the tapped traffic flow area upon exit.

APPENDIX C : COVID -19 Waiver

Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19


The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.


The Club Racquet & Fitness LLC.., has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, The Club Racquet & Fitness LLC.. cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attendingThe Club Racquet & Fitness LLC. could increase your risk of contracting COVID-19. By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending The Club Racquet & Fitness LLC., and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at The Club Racquet & Fitness LLC. may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, The Club Racquet & Fitness LLC. employees, instructors, contractors, volunteers, and program participants and their families. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I may experience or incur in connection with my attendance atThe Club Racquet & Fitness LLC. or participation in The Club Racquet & Fitness LLC. programming (“Claims”). On my behalf, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless The Club Racquet & Fitness LLC., its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.


By signing this Release, I am confidently confirming, that before I enter the facility, I can agree to the follow upon each entry: (Please initial)


_____ I have NOT been in contact with any person with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID -19 in the past 14 days.

____ I do not possess any of the following symptoms: Fever ( 101 or higher), Coughing, Sore throat, shortness of breath, diarrhea, vomiting or headache.

____ If I contract CONVID-19 I will alert The Club Racquet & Fitness LLC, and understand I will not be permitted in the facility for 14 days.

____ I agree to follow all safety precautions and new cleaning procedures. Non compliance can result in cancellation of membership.


I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of The Club Racquet & Fitness LLC., its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any The Club Racquet & Fitness LLC.program.
